Blameless, harmless Light of the World
These verses really spoke to me today, I tend to lose my patience and complain about things and argue with people.
My husband and I ordered soup from a restaurant, to go, after church one night. We didn't ask any questions, who would expect a couple of cups of to go soup to take long, we went to Walmart and back in 15 minutes to pick up our order.
45 minutes later we leave with our soup. The waitress failed to mention that they had to cook a whole new pot of soup. Sometimes I'm more patient but that night I had a headache and wasn't feeling up to dealing with this. I complained the whole time, sent my husband in to complain and then when I finally pulled up to the drive through window I wasn't exactly nice to her. Sure I put on a fake smile and said thanks. But after reading this verse I'm sure that I looked like a sharp prickly cactus to her.
To be a light to the world you can't hide your flame under a cactus.
Be a bright shining light to the world, without murmuring and disputing!
Philippians 2:14-15

Friday Introductuons: My Anxiety
I suppose it's time I introduce myself to those that don't know who I am. As you know from my "About Me" section I'm 23, married and have an adorable sheltie. I attend an amazing family like church, Sand Springs Baptist Church, at that church I teach 3rd and 4th grade girls, I absolutely love it, I learn as much from them as I hope they do from me!
At times I'm known to be very quiet, sometimes that's because I just really enjoy listening to others, but a lot of times it's because I have anxiety problems! Everything I do in the back of my mind I'm constantly wondering what the people around me are thinking, I used to be afraid to do things because my mind was telling me people are thinking certain things about me. I've gotten better, sometimes I still think that way but I DON'T LET IT GET TO ME!
Jeremiah 17:5-8 tells me that I don't need to trust in other people, meaning I also don't need to be anxious and worried of those people, I need to trust in the lord.
Be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, & shall not see when heat cometh but her leaf shall be green, and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Trust in the Lord, dig into the truth, and you should have no reason to be anxious!

Submissive to Gods Will
I've been reading Beth Moore's, Jesus the One and Only, I am only just finishing chapter 2. (Im a slow reader, as in I don't always take the time to read instead of watching TV!) Anyway, so far I am enjoying her book, I love ALL of her stuff.

The Flower Fades
This is BY FAR one of my favorite verses! Isaiah 40:7-8 it's also some what repeated in 1 Peter 1:23-25
The world, the people, and the things in it are frail and fading away over time, but the word of our God will last forever!
Without God we are lost, withering and fading with the earth! But with God we will have eternal life!
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Are you a Proverbs 31 Woman?
In honour of Mothers day this subject felt appropriate. Though I am not a mother yet, and may be a few years before I am, I think Proverbs 31 is meant for all woman, young women included!
It's not like we get married, have kids, and THEN become the Christ like mother and wife we should be. It's something we need to be working towards our whole life.
If we are a godly woman first, we can be a godly mother and wife when the time comes. Read proverbs 31 and underline or take note of all the characteristics of the Proverbs 31 Woman, keep them with you at all times and think about them as you go through your daily routines.
Are you a Proverbs 31 Woman?
Favour is decietful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. Proverbs 31:30
